Ascend Technologies is currently seeking a Service Onboarding Project Engineer to provide professional services for our client onboard projects. This role will help document, prepare, and transition to support project-based initiatives for clients. This role will prepare both the client and the service desk team to support the new environment.

Summary of Required Qualifications:

Demonstrate an understanding of the knowledge and tools required to successfully support a client from the help desk perspective. Individuals must be able to communicate effectively with the managed services clients, losing vendors and internal resources to craft the necessary tools for success. Individuals in this role must be organized and possess strong time management skills. Working knowledge of Windows 10 and Windows 11 OS support.

Day-To-Day Responsibilities:

  • Investigate and document a client’s current technical environment
  • Interact with clients and lead discussions to identify IT issues, policies, and current processes.
  • Create user onboard and offboard guides for help desk use.
  • Host knowledge transfer sessions with the client support team.
  • Offer recommendations to onboarding Project Manager & Service Delivery Manager on possible improvements for client success
  • Assist Operations and Support teams from time to time with support issues.
  • Experience working with cloud networking (virtual networks, peering, site-to-site, VPN) and cloud end user technologies (Azure Windows Virtual Desktop, Intune, and Autopilot)

Your Credentials:

  • 5+ years’ work experience in a similar role
  • Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Must have help desk support experience
  • Preferably have project experience
