JOB DESCRIPTION: The Project Engineer performs routine field and office assignments with supervision and oversight from the Project Manager or their designee.
Provide support to the Project Manager or Project Director in project administration, quality, safety, invoicing/financial tracking, contract management and project data management.
The Project Engineer is expected to use their experience and judgment to make decisions within their limits of authority.
GENERAL DUTIES: Coordinate and facilitate all Project Engineering aspects of assigned projects.
Manage construction quality control program.
Ensure compliance with plans and specifications.
Assist with coordinating and managing subcontractors.
Project administration, data management and schedule updates.
Prepare project submittals as required.
Oversee process and submittal tracking system.
Oversee and manage project design elements as required.
Prepare/oversee all built project deliverables as required.
Assist project team with subcontractor and supplier procurement and management.
Assist project team in completing A & M remediation and construction activities in a safe, cost effective and timely manner.
Assist in development of cost estimates.
Utilize standard software to assist in the development and implementation of systems to record and track project cost and revenue.
Enforcement of all company policies and procedures, including health & safety.
Quality assurance tracking, receiving and reporting.
Works well under pressure meeting multiple and sometimes competing deadlines.
Safety support and planning work with Health and Safety Personnel.
Effectively and tactfully deal with a wide variety of individuals in person, via telephone and in writing.
Provide excellent customer relations skills.
Work independently and resolve practical problems, keeping all appropriate parties aware of issues or risks.
Understand basic behavior-based safety programs and enforce company safety policies.
Demonstration excellent verbal and written communication skills Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS: 1.
Bachelors degree in Engineering, project management, construction management or related discipline.

[Prefer] 5 years experience in heavy construction and/or remediation.

Equivalent combination of education/experience may be considered 3.
Current 40 hr HAZWOPER Training.

Must meet travel expectations and perform shift work.
5.
Must meet medical requirements of the job site (Hazardous waste) 6.
Proficient computer skills using Word, Excel, Outlook, Project Scheduling 7.
[Prefer] 3 years experience in engineering/planning work for projects involving contaminated materials.
