Project Controls Engineer

The Project Controls Engineer will be responsible for monitoring project quality and managing and coordinating the logistics of utility scale solar project components from their manufacturing facilities to the project location, ensuring compliance with the logistics plan and contractual requirements.Other responsibilities of the role are:Prepare, manage, coordinate and monitor the global logistics plan of the project.

Revise the plan as needed.Review and approve suppliers’ provided logistics plans.

Supplier’s logistics plans must be aligned with Acciona’s global logistics plan.Report any potential deviation with the global logistics plan and develop action plans for mitigation.Monitor logistics through SGA management tool.Create, process, complete and maintain accurate documentation and records associated with the logistics of project components, including an accurate accounting of inventory on siteParticiapte in the development of supply agreements with vendors.

Manage compliance with supply agreements in regards to logistics, including deliverables and milestone achievements.,Ensure that all import documentation of the different suppliers is provided in a timely manner.Lead weekly logistics meeting with suppliers and confirm weekly site delivery plan.

Maintain job specific meeting minutes and necessary logs.Participate in other daily, weekly, and monthly project meetings.Coordinate delivery of PV components at project site with EPC Contractor and Acciona site team.Review of QA/QC documentation associated with the renewable facilities, including but not limited to tie-ins, start-up, and testing to ensure proper turnover to operations.

Participate in final project demobilization, documentation and close-out activities.Create and track Non-Conformities opened to contractors and suppliers.Assist QA/QC personnel both corporate and in the field with issues that arise during construction.Coordinate and monitor reverse logistics.Provide all the information needed to create the daily reporting requirements for our internal and external customers, as well as KPI reporting.Follow Company’s processes and procedures to safely and effectively construct Acciona renewable generating facilities for “Best in Class Performance”.Be proficient at Root Cause Analysis to accurately determine failure mode and reason.Identify cost reduction opportunities.Assist in the training and support of new employees.Other responsibilities as assigned.Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent.Experience in quality management.Experience in logistics management.Experience in construction of energy facilities or renewable energy industry is a plus.Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel.Experience with project management tools and systems (SGA, MS Project, Primavera), is a plus.Demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills.Ability to communicate detailed information accurately to internal / external customers.Demonstrate continuous commitment to safe operations.Be an active role model and constant resource to the organization.Ability to think and analyze situations in a fast-paced environment.Ability to travel to 15%
