Job Description:
1) Sets precious, semiprecious, stones in WAX settings and solid rings, earrings, necklaces, bands using hand tools.
2) Cuts files setting to accommodate stones, using files, chisels and hand or electric drills.
3) Positions stone in setting in wax and metals, and fixes in place by pressing prongs around stone, by raising retaining metal ridge around stone, or by tapping edges of setting with setting tool hammer, forcing metal against stone.
4) Smooth edges, using emery file pointed steel tool.
5) Examine the union of stone-setting in wax and metals, using a magnifying glass.
6) May drill holes in settings preparatory to setting stones in place.
7) May replace stones in rings.
8) May be designated according to stone set as Diamond Setter .

Job Summary:
We are searching for an expert in setting stones in wax.
The stone setter’s responsibility is to set precious, semi precious stones in rings and other jeweled items, using hand tools and a vice using a specific technique.
Job Requirements:
Manage and handle small hand-held electrical tools.
Visually examine product for details
Ability to match manufacturing standards
Occasionally be able to lift 0-10 pounds
Read and accurately interpret order information
Must be able to work scheduled hours to include possible overtime and Saturdays.
