Job Description:

JOB SUMMARY: The candidate will have responsibility for MRP management, inventory reporting and performing in the areas of Supply Chain. Ability to focus and produce under minimal supervision, independent decision making in company policy framework.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Work directly with Operations Managers, and attend planning process meetings to report schedule progress and capacity constraints.
  • Conduct finite capacity scheduling in support of the master production schedule, plan and manage all production scheduling and material related activities for new product introductions.
  • Define finite production schedule, and partner with Operations to ensure on time delivery to plan.
  • Launches all production orders, monitors the flow of material through the production line and partners with Operations to mitigate any schedule attainment issues.
  • Review bill of material for structure, accuracy, and planning parameters to ensure they are set up appropriately.
  • Analyzes the demand and supply balance of the product family and Master Schedule levels, determining out of balance conditions, identifying alternatives and recommending actions for approval.
  • Prepare production analysis charts and machine load forecasts and labor forecasts.
  • Follows up on actual vs schedule production and prepares work order completion reports, working in conjunction with manufacturing department; identifies, negotiates and resolves conflicts with respect to material and capacity availability and order promising integrity.
  • Builds and maintains smart goal driven metrics through dashboards reporting relevant metric information that is tied to operations goals. Knowledge of systems’ analysis, demand driven methodology and database a plus!

Job Requirements:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE :

  • High School diploma plus seven (7) years related experience in planning/scheduling or:
  • Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Operations Management or a technical field plus three (3) years’ experience in planning/scheduling.

SKILLS and ABILITIES:

  • APICS certification a plus.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, etc.) including V/H-Lookups and Pivot Tables.
  • Familiarity with Bills of Material and Router maintenance along with understanding of production scheduling and control.
  • Understanding of production flow principles and process.
  • Ability to analyze data and utilize mathematical skills to create schedule.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in oral and written form.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
  • Ability to exercise good judgment in problem solving and business decisions.
  • Ability to plan and organize work.
