Overview: The Production Associate is responsible for the accurate set up, clean up, stacking of finished goods and accurate labeling of outgoing packages.
The Production Associate should possess a solid understanding of chemical processes and mechanics.
Other daily tasks include the retrieving, weighing, and mixing chemical ingredients, monitoring equipment during the chemical process, repairing machinery if the problems arise, recording information about equipment and compounds, and assisting in product and process improvement.
The Production Associate should respond to requests in a timely manner and have a sharp eye for detail.
Requires ability to follow directions and company procedures to eliminate the threat of workplace injuries and ensure packages are sent out accurately.
Must be able to work in a team setting to meet company and individual goals.
Responsibilities: Responsible for the accurate set up, clean up, stacking of finished goods, and accurate labeling of outgoing packages.
Forklift Operating responsibilities including unloading materials and merchandise from incoming vehicles and stacking them to assigned places.
Locating and moving stock of products to pallets or crates for storage or shipment.
Identifying damages and report shortages or quality deficiencies.
Storing, retrieving, mixing, and monitoring chemicals used in the production process.
Recording information and inputting the information into the database, such as ingredients, weights, and temperature.
Troubleshooting issues with production equipment and processes.
Observing all company, local, state, and federal safety and quality regulations.
Follow warehouse safety guidelines and report any accidents, safety violation, or other concerns.
Assisting in planning and improving processes and product quality.
Working with other team members to ensure timely completion of the production process.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Experience & Education: High School Diploma/GED required Forklift experience required Understanding of chemical processes Aptitude for mechanics Basic computer skills Strong verbal and written communication skillsWorking Conditions & Physical Demands: Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment.
Will require heavy work (lifting greater than 50 pounds).
Ability to carry 50 lbs.
for 100 feet unassisted.
Machinery operation requires the use of safety PPE equipment to include but not limited to; eye safety glasses, hearing protectors, steel-toe shoes, and hardhats.
Loose fitting clothes and jewelry are not permitted Regularly required to stand or sit and move about the facility.
