POSITION SUMMARY
We are currently seeking a Full Time Production Assistant. The Production Assistant performs duties necessary related to the customer to include, contacting the customer, contacting production, PO follow up and job follow up.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Production Plan
Take responsibility for the monitoring of production activities (adherence to production plan) in order to guarantee the on-time delivery to the customer.
- Discuss planning during daily meeting with production
- Establish priority list and resolve conflicts in priorities
- Check regularly full metrics and act accordingly
- Contact production, logistics, Master Planning, Quality, PM, Plant Manager on a daily basis concerning planning, priorities, recovery plans
- Establish delivery / recovery planning (approved by PM)
- Support the planning of spare parts
- Define and follow-up action plans to improve lead-times and bottlenecks
Quality clinic and SCRAP process follow-up
Be actively involved in the quality clinic and RDR Processes and ensure adequate follow up in order to reduce the WIP and to avoid obsolete stock.
- Discuss technical issues (repair sheets, concessions) with the quality dept., Flow Team manager, buyers, and PM
- Establish RDR priority list (orders with backorder / backlog)
- Follow-up of repairs in production
- Follow-up with quality department to guarantee on time release of concessions to customer and follow up with the customer
- Take responsibility for obtaining disposition to concession on time
Correctness MRP data
Propose corrections of MRP data such as lead-times, safety stock, etc to Sales & Operations Planning to adhere to the production plan
- Compare data in the routings with data with SAP / Global shop
- Check regularly if lead-times are respected by using tools such as flow-analysis and define actions if applicable
External and internal interactions
Ensure external and internal interactions in order to have a good cooperation with the customer.
- Communicate the delivery / recovery plan to the customer (+transmission of the information to PM / OPS Manager / Plant Manager if the plan is rejected by the customer)
- Collaborate with Logistic Coordinator /Buyer to get the components on time from the suppliers / Subcontracting
- Participate in change processes & respect incorporation point of new configuration (+transmission of the information to PM / OU Manager if the customer does not agree the incorporation point)
- Escalate to PM if the customer does not answer to a concession
- Escalate to the OPS Manager and the PM if there is a risk of slippage in the commitment to a customer
Internal management flow
Ensure communication with internal stakeholders (supervisors) and warehousing, incoming inspection and shipping team in order to keep the component availability under control.
Follow-up of KPI’ s
Ensure all KPI’ s related to the function are up to date and correctly communicated to the team in order to proactively foresee risks in the supply chain and react/escalate accordingly.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCES
- High school diploma or high school equivalency preferred. Candidates that do not have a high school diploma or high school equivalency will be required to take a pre-employment assessment to be considered for the role.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States. International Traffic in Arms Regulation/Export Administration Regulations (ITAR/EAR) clearance is required.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time
- Noise levels ranging from quiet to extremely loud
- Required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when working on the manufacturing floor including, but not limited to, eye, ear, and foot protection
- May occasionally lift and /or move up to 10-50 pounds
