About the position:

As a part of the daily duties, Product Engineer processes and manages custom orders and provides technical assistance to Manufacturing and Technical Sales. This position also coordinates and optimizes manufacturing processes with regards to design, implementation, monitoring and maintenance.

Product Engineer evaluates, develops and improves manufacturing methods, utilizing knowledge of product design, materials, fabrication processes, tooling and equipment capabilities, assembly methods, and quality standards. The aim is to achieve the most efficient, cost effective, high quality production process.

What will you be responsible for:

  • Assume complete process ownership of assigned Product Group and provide appropriate level of support, to resolve processing issues with sound, and lasting, corrective actions
  • Process and Manage Custom Orders.
  • Create and Prepare Job Packages and required manufacturing documentation
  • Assist with day to day production issues
  • Provide technical expertise and support for Production and Technical Sales
  • Investigate operational problems affecting production
  • Assist with quote preparation
  • Assist with corrective action, ECNs and ECRs
  • Assist NPD Engineers with New Product Development projects

A few of things we require:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering
  • Proficiency with CAD (computer-assisted design) tools
  • Minimum 3 years’ work experience in Manufacturing or Production Engineering
  • Manufacturing Process knowledge
  • ERP experience a plus
