The Primary Role Of This Position Is Product Engineering is a time-to-market driven team responsible for enabling the availability of microprocessors to our customers.

As a Product Development Engineer, you will develop ATE test programs for high performance Graphics Processors.

Pre-silicon Responsibilities For The Test Engineer Include understanding product features developing test plans test creation pattern debug characterization data analysis highlighting test coverage holes and developing software and hardware infrastructure to execute those plans.

This requires interaction with Design and Platform Engineering and allows for the opportunity to provide test enhancement feedback for future designs.

Post-silicon Responsibilities Include microprocessor debug & analysis and the execution of characterization plans.

This may include silicon performance issues, yield issues, manufacturing processes, and device marginalities.

The Test Engineer will work closely with Design and Platform Engineering to root cause issues that result from the debug, characterization and margin analysis.

The Test Engineer will also drive part failure analysis leading to test flow and/or yield improvements.

Qualifications Education: Candidates will have a BS/MS in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering plus extensive directly related experience Required Skills Experience with developing tests, patterns/vectors, timing, and diagnostics on Automated Test Equipment Familiar with Java, Eerl, Python coding.

Windows and Unix proficiency Knowledge and experience with DFT features such as scan compression, memory BIST, JTAG, boundary SCAN and at-speed testing ATE test program knowledge, including pattern development and conversion, 93k test experience preferred Analog/High-speed IO Silicon debug or Failure Analysis is a plus Understanding of semiconductor device physics and speed path analysis Understanding of system-level test techniques is a plus Experience with Mentor or cadence EDA tools a plus Strong communication skills and the ability to work with geographically distributed product engineering teams Location: Austin, TX Requisition Numbe r: 178841 Country: United States State: Texas City: Austin Job Function: Product Engineering Benefits offered are described here .
