Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or other business-related discipline.
3-5 years of relevant procurement experience in a manufacturing supply chain and/ or Medical Device industry.

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Responsible for understanding and implementing relevant company and department policies and procedures.
Researches, analyzes, and forecasts current and future buying trends.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Be able to do Supplier quality management and balanced scorecard tracking.
Be able to lead and do Supplier sourcing and validation.
Ability to function well in a high-paced and, at times, stressful environment.
Complete other tasks as needed or directed by Management.
All required SOP’s and quality records must be updated to reflect current work.
Involvement with the development of tools and methods that are required to make Practical Process

Improvement (PPI) a success within the Business Unit in order to improve processes, strengthen quality and drive efficiency.
Strong analytical ability including the ability to effectively use data in problem solving and to evaluate process changes and impacts.
To work in a cGMP environment with focus on by maintaining quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
Review suppliers for compliance with company’s quality criteria.
Lead procurement function for the new product introduction and development proposals to purchase material on time.
Must be able to independently manage multiple complex projects concurrently while meeting target dated. Capture sourcing savings and report out to Management.
Be able to identify goals, review and update Supervisor throughout the year and complete the PMD.
Attend daily management stand -up meetings and provide regular and timely status updates on Procurement issues impacting production to management.
Strong computer skills and experience with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Utilizing SAP knowledge and experience in a manufacturing environment will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and implementing strategic and optimal production plans.
Coordinate the planning of schedules and inventory control parameters for the assigned products and services consistent with ERP and/or MRP requirements or as arranged with requisitions.
Initiate purchase orders and amendments based on forecasted demand.
Maintain standard lead-times and service objectives in the ERP system, while minimizing the use air freight and other expedite costs.
Manage supplier relationships with current and prospective suppliers to determine supply capabilities, transportation logistics inventory control and management; negotiates prices and delivery terms with guidance from a Procurement Supervisor or the Procurement Division Business Partner for assigned responsibilities and assesses financial risks of purchases
Coordinate as appropriate quality matters and engineering changes/developments between company activities and suppliers.
Prepare accurate and timely reports to Management.
Support KPI performance metrics for inventory health, purchase order management, vendor performance, and PPV
Provide buyer level support for the department as needed.
Responsible developing sourcing strategies, coordinating with vendors, negotiating contracts, analyzing costs, managing logistics and finding ways to reduce procurement costs.
Collaborate closely with other teams and departments to complete highest priority work as directed.
Quickly escalate a problem that cannot be resolved to Management.
Travel as needed based on the business impact, audit, performance evaluation, negotiation, etc…

Minimum Requirements:
Strong analytical skills combined with practical business acumen.
Strong oral, written and presentation skills, confident negotiator, and strong multitasking and organizational skills.
Ability to thrive in a global matrix and cross-functional team environment with Operations and with internal and external customers.
Proficiency with ERP systems, SAP
Fluent in Microsoft Windows and Office (Excel, Word, Access and PowerPoint).
Excellent planning and time management skills.
Extensive knowledge in capital equipment procurement.
Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize when necessary.
Be a self-starter with the ability to positively motivate others in a cooperative fashion.
Encourage/challenge self for continuous improvement.
Maintain confidentiality of sensitive laboratory and business data.
Ensure all processes are in adherence of cGMP and GDP.
Ensure compliance with corporate, site, and regulatory policies, practices, and guidelines
Can make day by day decision in absent of Supervisor.

Preferred Qualifications
Certification in CPIM or CSCP is a plus.
Six Sigma certified a plus.

Non-Negotiable Hiring Criteria:
Project management skills, interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills.
Excellent computer knowledge and in-depth working knowledge of SAP systems.
Ability to react appropriately to changing priorities, impending deadlines, and prioritize tasks.
Demonstrated knowledge of ISO/FDA, GMP, ISO Regulations and other regulatory requirements for diagnostics manufacturing.
OSHA safety compliance required
