Process Simulation Specialist – BLS – Philadelphia, Pennsylvania or Remote

SummaryThe Process Simulation Specialist LSC is responsible for working with the Life Science & Chemicals (LSC) Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to develop process simulation models that would be key to process optimization and COGs reductions. The process model will be a key deliverable to confirm front-end study assumptions and outputs leading into detail design efforts. Must be proficient in communications of operational analysis and design basis in order to align Customer needs and expectations with deliverables. Duties*Understands the Client’s needs in terms of manufacturing process outputs*Develops process simulation models, modeling a range of scenarios and variables in order to optimize process design based on Client operational needs*Provides process analysis based on data provided by Clients and use that data as the basis for process optimization*Provides recommendations on equipment selection, sizing, and unit operation flow based on process data*Provides reports, graphics, charts that can be used to assist in the decision making process by Clients around process optimization*Works with outside firms/vendors to ensure equipment performance data is accurate*Analyzes existing process operations based on available data in order to identify process improvement opportunities*Updates simulation models as necessary based on new data, information, or process changes identified by Client*Other duties as assignedRequirements*Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical Engineering, or related field and/or Computer Science required*Professional Engineer License preferred *10+ years of industrial experience as a Process Engineer/Process Specialist
