We have a great opportunity for you to join AEI in a Process Project Engineer role in our Denver office.

Here is what we have in store for you: In response to growing opportunities in our biopharmaceutical, food, and chemical markets, we are seeking a driven Process Project Engineer specializing in plant systems (process vessels, fermenters, separation technologies, tank farms, process piping, utility systems, pumps, heat transfer systems, scrubbers, waste treatment, CIP/SIP, and relief systems).

Knowledge of the pharmaceutical validation process is desired.

The Process Engineer will use their skills to develop P&IDs, equipment and piping specifications, complete hydraulic sizing, and heat transfer calculations.

Other responsibilities include attending design meetings, performing field surveys, facilitating Process Hazard Analysis (PHA), fielding vendor quotations and reviewing vendor submittals.

Project roles will vary from pure consulting to performing detailed design, commissioning, and startup services based on project requirements.

What you will need to succeed: BS in Chemical Engineering, Biological Systems Engineering, or similar from an ABET accredited program.

8 years of experience in a consulting environment designing Chemical Process systems or leading design projects in the biopharmaceutical industry.

Experience with communicating with clients, partners and individuals at all levels within an organization.

Knowledge and experience with piping systems and a variety of unit operations as applied to pharmaceutical, food, and chemical processing.

Understanding of applicable design codes, standards and specification requirements, and ability to interpret them.

Experience with industrial networks and communication protocols.

Ability to travel for client meetings, field survey, commissioning, and startup support.

Ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
