Job Description: Reporting directly to the Inbound 1 st shift Manager, the Inbound Analyst is an important member of the Inbound department’s leadership team, responsible for day-to-day analytics and testing of key processes and metrics, focused on production planning, product flow, stocking efficiencies and process improvement.
The Analyst works closely with all Inbound leadership and the Operations Excellence team to ensure business goals are met.
The Analyst also provides leadership and oversight to Inbound Trainers.
Roles and Responsibilities Responsible for oversight of trainers, ensuring proper training of new associates, documentation, and communication of new processes.
Identify areas of improvement and maintain effective production planning, product flow, receiving and stocking efficiencies and process improvement.
Provide oversight for the License Plate process, monitoring the systemic and physical processes and functions that associates use to receive and put away product.
Responsible for SOP testing and review, including audit of SOPs and identification of changes.
Participate in SOP documentation, as needed, and the development/improvement of training materials.
Provide reporting, analysis and follow up on exceptions (no distro/lack of info for distro) Lead in determining the root cause of errors in receiving and stocking.
Communicate findings and recommendations to management.
Creation of reports, tracking documents, and following up on operation audits.
Directly support the Inbound Managers and Leads Manage the movement and tagging of product being returned to vendors.
Lead and report out on receipt discrepancies and investigations of shortage claims Collaborate with internal Vendor Compliance to ensure associates are using and reporting vendor compliance issues.
Additionally, ensure that product gets handled timely and appropriately; and the VC issues lane is being maintained.
Work with Vendor compliance and Inbound management to collect data and make improvements with logistics, process, flow and capacity issues.
Provide needed license plating data and log data for issues and follow up for resolution.
Fills in as backup to inbound leads and trainers.
Education and Experience Associates Degree or progress towards a degree and 3 years of related warehouse experience Proven ability to lead small team assignments or projects while displaying core leadership skills.
3 years of related warehouse experience Skill s Excellent verbal/written communication skills, including presentation skills.
Ability to work either independently and as part of a team.
Knowledge of warehouse/department functions Fluent in Microsoft Office programs (excel, outlook) Certified in Process Excellence or Six Sigma related continuous improvement program Thorough knowledge in data organization, analysis, and problem solving skills Excellent time management skills Ability to create and maintain professional relationships with senior management, executive management, peers, and subordinates.
Operate PIT equipment
– Forklift, stock picker, walkie rider, or ability to become certified to operate.
Physical and Environmental Requirements Stand for long period of time, up to 4 continuous hours, 8
– 12 hours during a shift.
Sit at desk or computer for extended periods of time Walk up to 8 miles a day.
Walking short distances through the department/building.
