The Opportunity Silvus Technologies is seeking a Principal IC Design Engineer to participate in the design anddevelopment of a new wireless product line and contribute to advanced wireless systems RD.The role includes the design and verification of Analog and Digital Integrated Circuits (IC), toplevel chip verification, and support of packaging, integration, and testing. The role includes the design and verification of both FPGA and Integrated Circuit (IC) digitaldesigns and the data interfaces between them. Technical Responsibilities The principal IC designerrsquos main responsibility is chip-lead for our ongoing RF and mixed signalchip project. This role includesParticipation in top-level chip architecture definitionDesign and verification of analogdigital integrated circuits in 40nm CMOSRTL coding, synthesis, and place and route as needed for on-chip digital circuitryTop-level chip verification including digital, clock, supply, and RF routesHandoff to and work with the PCB and software team for system implementationSupport for laboratory and field testing of integrated productSupport for communication with RD customers and transition partnersCommunication with CAD tool support and advising on CAD tool license options QualificationsMSEE required, Ph.D in Electrical Engineering a plus8+ years of IC design experience requiredExperience with Cadence Digital Design ToolsProficient in VHDL andor VerilogExperience with Verilog-AMS and w-real simulation in Virtuoso a plusExperience with Matlab, Python, andor C is a plusExperience with high speed SERDES PHY layer synchronization and equalization a plusExperience with Xilinx FPGAs, SoCs and the Vivado IDE a plusKnowledge of Digital Signal Processing (DSP), wireless systems is a plus RequirementsMust be a U.S. Person (permanent resident or citizen) due to clients under U.S.government contractsAbility to pass a background check
