Principal Frontend Engineer – Los Angeles

What You Will Do

You’ll build the UI, manage private npm packages and provide valuable input across two major brands (Zumper and PadMapper).

You’ll also help improve and fix existing features and functionality as needed.

Every quarter you’ll have the opportunity to collaborate with people from across the company to explore new ideas, tackle ambitious concepts, and innovate in our multi-day hackathon.

We have a proven track record of shipping over 50% of our hackathon projects to our customers!

Responsibilities

– Write UI in Javascript/React/Redux

– Design, build, test, review, and deploy new features

– Planning and executing on OKR oriented sprints

Who You Are

The ideal candidate is forward-thinking and ready to make an outsized impact within a tight, collaborative team.

We are looking for someone that is an excellent communicator and is able to work closely with the technical and non-technical members of their team.

The right candidate knows React and Redux, has a good grasp of NodeJS fundamentals and is comfortable with the terminal.

We love working with self-motivated people who embrace problem solving and get things done.

Desired Skills & Experience

– Knowledge of frontend best practices

– At least 5 years of React/Redux work experience

– At least 5 years of professional frontend experience
