Northrop Grumman SSSD Planning & Site Strategy has an opening for a Principal Industrial Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Redondo Beach, CA . Primary Responsibilities: * Analyzes and designs sequence of operations and work flow to improve efficiencies in lab and production facilities and equipment layouts; and establishes methods for maximum utilization of production facilities and personnel. * Assess opportunities to maximize efficiencies across the campus for like activities or sequential activities. Ability to develop process flows and data analytics related to findings.
* Conducts studies pertaining to cost control, cost reduction, inventory control, and production record systems. On the basis of these studies, develops and implements plans and programs for facility modifications and revisions to operating methods. * Coordinate with the Planning & Site Strategy Department in the planning and design of facilities. * Strong communication skills, written and oral, and ability to develop and deliver high level presentations Basic Qualifications: Principal Industrial Engineer Requirements:
* Bachelor’s in Industrial Engineering or other relevant STEM Degree with minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or a minimum of 3 years of professional experience with a Master’s Degree.
* Experienced with data analysis and understanding of data management & reporting tools such as Excel, SQL, SharePoint, Tableau
* Experience with leading and driving large scale initiatives
* Strong project management skills with ability to coordinate with multiple organizations
* Experience with Microsoft Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, or Project, etc.)
* Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Department of Defense Top Secret and/or SCI Clearance
* * Preferred Qualifications: * Two years experience with Archibus or other Facilities Space Planning software
* Ability to communicate with employees at all levels (hourly through executives)
* Active TS or SCI (SSBI) clearance
* Experience working with Facilities Management Systems (e.g. Archibus, Tririga, etc.) Salary Range: $92,200 USD – $138,400 USD Salary Range 2: $114,300 USD – $171,500 USD Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
