Preferred IPA is one of the leading independent physician associations in Los Angeles County with a network of nearly 1000 primary and specialty care providers.
We are seeking a representative who will be responsible for educating contracted physician and staff with compliance to Preferred IPA and contracted Health plan’s policies..
They will also be responsible to update & monitor all data submission & accuracy with contracted health plans.
The incumbent will interface with various internal department as wells as other health care stakeholdersEssential duties and responsibilities:Provider and clinic staff education and training via in person/webinars/telephone callsEducate offices on Health plan compliance requirementsDissemination of numerous reports to Physician officesUpdate Physician profiles and Data in the SystemCommunication & interaction with healthplan representativesCollection of materials, documents and information Such as IHAs, AWEs, credentialing applications, contracts and other items as neededCustomer service and maintain working relations with physiciansQualifications and requirements:Experience working with medical officesDemonstrate good verbal & presentation skillsExcellent Computer skillsExperience with medical coding & billing is a plus but not requiredEducation and TrainingBachelor degree at a four-year accredited college and/or comparable years of healthcare experienceMinimum of 5 10 years experience in the health care industry with a solid customer service problem-solving background; excellent verbal and written communication skills; Knowledge of Medicare & Medi-Cal managed care and/or Medi-Cal regulations, policies and procedures is requiredSalary Range: Negotiable, based on experienceJob Type: Full-timeBenefits:401(k)Dental InsuranceEmployee DiscountHealth InsurancePaid Time OffTuition ReimbursementVision InsuranceSchedule:Monday to FridaySupplemental Pay:Bonus PayExperience:Manged Health Care: 2 years (Preferred)Health Care: 5 years (Required)Work Location:On the roadCompany’s website:Preferredipa.ComBenefit Conditions:Waiting period may applyOnly full-time employees eligibleWork Remotely:Temporarily due to COVID-19
