Description
The Portera-Cailliau Lab (https://porteralab.dgsom.ucla.edu/) is announcing a postdoctoral fellowship position (starting Fall 2021/Winter 2022) to investigate circuit defects underlying atypical sensory processing in mouse models of autism using in vivo calcium imaging and Neuropixels recordings of neuronal ensemble activity in awake-behaving mice (e.g., Gonçalves et al., Nat Neuroscience 2013; He et al., J Neurosci 2017; Goel et al., Nat Neurosci 2018).

Successful candidates will have a Ph.D.
or M.D./Ph.D.
degree and advanced experience with modern techniques in neuroscience and a strong publication record.
Fellows will be encouraged to apply for independent funding after their first year in the lab.
Salary will follow NIH guidelines.
We are especially interested in those candidates who are motivated to develop their independent careers as investigators.
