Port Dispatcher Second Shift

Harbor DispatcherCompany Name:MDB Transportation FLSA Status for Employee:Non Exempt Position Type:Full-Time Location: Compton, CAResponsibilitiesSchedule appointments for empty terminations and or import loads out when requested or missed loads. Dispatch work to drivers according to scheduled appointmentsMake sure deliveries are on time and any issues/delays are reported to customerPrioritize calls/text according to urgency and importanceMonitor our GPS to route and know status of drivers to maximize our turnaroundsUpdate computer systems in a live manner with appropriate route or delivery status as well as in/out times.Add notes into TMW (dispatch system) for any delays, dry runs, yard stops, missed loads, missed empty in appointments or anything of that nature.Required Skills and Experience:At least 6 months to a year port drayage dispatching experience.Excellent communication skills are needed.Ability to multitask and excel in a fast-paced environment. Familiar with trucking terminology. Knowledge with TMW dispatch system, Excel, Google Sheets, and other data keeping programsProficient in Microsoft Office. Good computer skills required. Reliable and punctual. Active listener with excellent communication skills.A high school diploma or GED is required and a degree in a relevant field preferredPay: The pay is competitive.
