Job Description:
This person will work at a 100-person plant that makes specialty chemicals (among other things). The parent company has been putting a lot of money into this facility as of late with many capital and infrastructure projects currently on-going and in the planning stages. A portion of those projects are related to the controls and instrumentation systems – they will be expanding and updating the PLC control systems on site and implementing advanced process control strategies. Part of that work will include writing SOPs and training operators on new HMIs and control strategies. This person will also support other facilities as needed.
Minimum Requirements:

Minimum Requirements:
- B.S. degree in Engineering, preferably in Electrical, Chemical, or Automation Engineering
- 2+ years of post-college, industry experience, ideally out of chemicals, refining, or something closely related
- Must have a demonstrated understanding of engineering fundamentals and be able to show a creative mind through problem solving in previous roles
- Must have experience troubleshooting, programming and design/installation of PLC, preferably Allen Bradley, HMIs and associated instrumentation
- A plus would be previous leadership experience, either in project settings or over direct reports
- Some travel will be required for this role
