What We’re Looking For:
The Planner will work closely with Demand & Supply Planning, Procurement, and Operations to develop forecasts from the Planning team into a global production and distribution plan. You will be responsible for developing and executing the methodology for our item-level global demand forecast and supply plan. You will also be responsible setting and maintaining weeks on-hand order triggers and preferred stock levels for each SKU to optimize our inventory plan to minimize both holding costs and out-of-stocks, while ensuring 98% plus fill rates.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain an item-level global production and supply plan for all business channels using Demand Planning’s forecasts, corporate financial goals, and forecasted fulfillment rates.
- Reconcile significant variances between expected and actual demand and refine the supply models to reflect updated assumptions.
- Develop and manage a rolling 12-month demand plan by SKU, calculating the component and financial risks.
- Track item-levels at the distribution center to ensure fulfillment goals are achieved and meet best-by dating requirements.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to monitor actual production versus plan on a weekly basis, highlighting supply gaps, and addressing production constraints.
- Perform numerous analyses surrounding demand of core and new product introductions and seasonal collections, ensuring launch dates are met and highlighting associated risks.
- Track and report on supply chain KPIs to drive towards company goals. Conduct deeper analyses where necessary and develop creative recommendations for how to improve performance.
Education & Skills:
- 2+ years of experience in demand planning, production planning, supply chain planning, or a related field. Consumer Packaged Goods background preferred.
- BA in Business, Supply Planning, Accounting or related field preferred.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- The ability to work with large data sets, synthesize findings, and communicate recommendations in a clear, concise, and professional manner.
- Experience with ERP systems; experience with NetSuite and Valogix a plus, but not required.
