Primary Purpose:
The Pipeline Integrity Team Leaders are accountable for developing, implementing, and ensuring pipeline integrity programs are carried out in areas and activities which include Compliance, Data Quality, and Financial Management; Assessment Planning and Records; Distribution Integrity and Materials; Transmission Integrity and Analysis
Integrity Assessment and Remediation manages a staff responsible for tracking compliance with State and Federal Regulations, and ensuring the execution of programs, with an emphasis on the Transmission and Distribution Integrity Management Programs required per 49 CFR 192.
Provides support for Pipeline Integrity and other departments within the Engineering and Operations Staff organization.
Provides management for the different areas regarding technologies, systems, processes, policies, and program management impacting both SoCalGas and SDG&E.
Responsibilities/Duties:
Develop and implement training programs for gas standards, policies, and procedures for compliance with Federal and State (CPUC) Regulations.
Develops and documents Company positions and interpretations of rules and regulations.
Executes on applicable TIMP and DIMP program responsibilities.
Monitors and manages procurement and expenditures of the pipeline integrity function including third party vendors.
Represent Company on technical committees including ASME, NACE, AGA, PRCI, etc.
Manages staff and advisors comprised of both company employees and contractors who support the Pipeline Integrity Department in the applicable team lead role.
Manages compliance with regulatory requirements, PHMSA Reporting, DIMP reporting, BAP, Assessment Analysis, Preventative and Mitigative measures, risk, and threat, ALJ 274, SB 705, SB 879, and other regulatory requirements.
Manages the Integrity Compliance Activity Management (ICAM) program, compliance with ESCMP.
CPUC Audits and other Company programs.
Supports Company initiatives.
Prepares data and performance metrics and shares with Manager for use by CPUC, PHMSA, & Sr.
Management.
A Bachelors degree in engineering or a technical science (chemistry, materials, environmental, etc.) Required.
A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in natural gas pipeline integrity, operations, construction, maintenance and/or measurement and regulation.

Demonstrated ability to express ideas clearly and concisely in both the spoken and written word.
Demonstrated prioritization and results orientation.
Highly developed skills in communication, strategy development, planning and project management.
Knowledge of management of technical risk, pipeline safety regulations and standards.
MBA, or Masters degree in Materials Engineering and Engineering Management (or similar) strongly preferred.
