Major functions include: patient assessment, patient evaluation and preparation and administration of chemotherapeutic agents and other intravenous drugs, patient education and psychosocial support.QualificationsWe’re seeking a self-directed professional with a current California RN license and:BSN or MSNBCLS certificationONS Chemotherapy/Biotherapy certificationAbility to push, pull or carry 30 pounds or moreOCN and PICC line certification preferredAbility to float to other locations within a certain radius as needed for staffing issuesKnowledge of the Oncology patient population and practice operationsBackground with all aspects of infusion therapy in an oncology settingExcellent blood withdrawal and IV skillsKnowledge and skill in central line cathetersOCN Certification, PICC Line Certification (preferred)2 years of recent acute care/outpatient oncology experience preferred Willing and able to travel to a number of different Hem/Onc Community practices within a defined area, providing own means of transportation.UCLA is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
