The HHA or CNA provides care and program/activity needs to residents while assisting in maintaining a positive physical, nutritional and social environment, while ensuring they feel safe and purposeful.
This position is FULL TIME 3RD SHIFT.The CNA/HHA Assists residents with activities of daily living, including meals, bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, transfer, mobility, and incontinence careObserves and reports any changes in residents condition (behavior or health), takes action to ensure resident safetyDemonstrates knowledge of residents relative to participation needs, physical abilities, interests, cognitive capacity and attention span capabilityInitiates programming and activities with residents, leading one-on-one, and group activitiesProvides appropriate interventions to maximize the residents social and Activities of Daily Living (ADL) functioningProvides compansionship and engagement activitiesAssures shift information is clearly communicated to peers and supervisorsAccurately assesses, communicates, and documents residents statusSupports the residents family and other members of the caregivers team, reports any resident or family concernsAssists residents with medication per state regulationsParticipates in service plan reviews Qualifications: Must be a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Home Health Aide (HHA)High School diploma or GED requiredMust be nurturing, caring, and reliableAbility to read and write the english languageDementia experience preferred Company Overview: Located on a beautiful 450 acre campus in Charlton, Massachusetts, The Overlook Retirement Community and Health Center offers 221 independent living residences and a complete continuum of care including post-acute, assisted living, memory care, CARE management services, and skilled nursing for long and short-term care needs.
