Position description The Division of Neonatology in the Department of Pediatrics of the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA is seeking a Project Scientist. The appointment will be in the Project Scientist series; academic rank will be commensurate with experience. This position requires a Ph.D. or equivalent and prior experience. This is a Non-Senate position.The work domains include conducting research focused on molecular and cellular aspects of various projects requiring direct experimentation that are being conducted in the laboratory as prioritized by the principal investigator, with coordination and oversight of ongoing and newly developed pre-clinical studies and clinical trials, and timely sample collections and storage. In addition, this position will require supervision of students/clinical trainees who rotate into the laboratory, need for flexibility along with collaboration with others in the laboratory or with members of collaborators’ research teams, working closely with the Principal Investigator towards assisting in daily laboratory activities, data generation and storage, analyses and reporting both in publications and timely preparation and submission of grant proposals.
