You balance the needs of multiple stakeholders, making sound decisions using data, analysis, experience, and judgment, along with a risk mindset.
Ultimately, you take ownership for key outcomes.The Commercial National General Adjuster role is a field-based position.
The successful candidate will have experience adjudicating commercial first party property claims across the full claim life-cycle including loss site investigations, damage inspections and face-to-face negotiations with insureds.In addition, you will:
• Provide superior customer service and investigate first party commercial property claims.
• Conduct coverage reviews and make coverage determinations on all files.
• Work with experts on construction, accounting, cause and origin etc.
• Create damage estimates using various resources including Xactimate
• Negotiate settlement with insureds and their representatives.
• Work with insureds, attorneys, public adjusters, agents and brokers to resolve issues.
• Manage litigation files with proper direction.What we’re looking for: Multiline claims adjuster experience is a plus.
Must be detailed oriented, have problem solving skills, be self-motivated, proactive, and have forward thinking skills.
5 years work experience in Commercial Property Claims.
Experience in General Commercial Property, Business Interruption, Real Estate, Public Entities, Manufacturing, Inland Marine, Boiler & Machinery, Builders Risk, Reinsurance, and Captive Programs is preferred.
Multinational claim handling is a plus.
Ability to communicate information clearly and concisely both orally and in writing.
Strong interpersonal skills, effective time management and organizational skills.
Must be proficient in the use of software programs including Microsoft Office applications and Xactimate.
Must have the ability to travel to and inspect sites with property damage.
