IMMEDIATE openings for courteous and caring Patient Schedulers in Culver City! This Temp opportunity is Monday to Friday day shift. The customer service-oriented Patient Scheduler will answer phones, address questions and inquiries, schedule patients for exams, and input/update patient information in company’s EMR system.
- Perform insurance verifications and authorizations.
- Make outbound follow-up calls to patients.
- Collect and update pertinent patient information.
- Create and promote positive patient experience.
- Maintain HIPAA compliant environment.
- Participate in various projects and/or tasks as assigned by management.
- Bilingual Spanish a plus
Job Requirements:
- Minimum High School Diploma
- 2+ years experience answering phones, scheduling appointments
- Superior phone etiquette and friendly, helpful attitude
- Ability to demonstrate compassion when dealing with patients and family members
- Preferred: knowledge of patient confidentiality, state laws, HIPAA regulations and medical records procedures
- Highly preferred: graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant training program or a Medical Assistant certificate of completion
