Partner Engineer, Mobile

No matter where you are or how you express yourself, it’s always the fastest way to share a moment! The Partner Engineering Team is a highly technical team working directly with strategic partners, developers and content creators to help build new products that leverage Snap’s platforms.

Camera Kit is a new product offering from Snap that provides the full power of Snap’s world-leading AR and camera platform directly inside third party applications. We’re looking for a Partner Engineer to join our team!

You will collaborate with our world-class engineering team and act as the technical point of contact between Snap and its Camera Kit partners; combining technical skills with a deep knowledge of Snapchat’s AR platform to help our partners integrate, launch, and successfully operate their Camera Kit integrations. **What you’ll do:** + Manage technical relationships with development teams of our strategic partners and clients of Snap’s Camera Kit and AR platform. + Create and manage the on-boarding process for new strategic clients ensuring the best developer experience for their engineering teams as they integrate our software. + Field technical questions and investigate, research, debug and solve Camera Kit integration issues, interacting with customers and internal engineers as needed. + Help strategic clients design and architect their integrations
– providing 1:1 technical and product feedback to partner product and engineering executives. + Enhance, expand, and help write documentation and resource materials, including sample apps and code examples. + Collect feedback and feature requests and help prioritize Camera Kit features internally
– be the voice of external developers internally. + Track developer experience metrics and keep internal stakeholders updated. + Evangelize our platform products to potential Camera Kit integration partners. + Pitch our platform products at conferences, hackathons, developer meetups etc. **Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:** + Excellent problem solving, debugging and QA skills + Public speaking experience, talking at conferences, seminars, etc. + Excellent communication skills to present Snap’s platform products to partners around the world **Minimum Qualifications:** + Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent additional experience + 3+ years of industry experience as a mobile software or partner engineer **Preferred Qualifications:** + Experience with camera pipelines or AR a plus + Industry experience with Java/Kotlin + Android or iOS development experience + Experience building full stack applications that use APIs and SDKs + Mac or Windows desktop development experience + Willingness to travel occasionally At Snap, we believe that having a team of diverse backgrounds and voices working together will enable us to create innovative products that improve the way people live and communicate.
