PARALEGAL, mid-size Law Firm
PLEASE NOTE: This position is in Century City Los Angeles Area, 2-3 days per week. No c2c, no recruiters, unable to sponsor now, unable to sponsor in the future. This is a Direct Hire, Full Time position. Local candidates to the Los Angeles Area please.
Paralegal needed to provide an elite level of support and supervision for credit card transactions dedicated to attorneys, supervisory counsel. This is for a highly established Mid-Size Law Firm with a network of hundreds of Attorneys distributed in areas across the globe Tasks involve setup, maintenance, gathering of reporting requirements, management of transactions, Intellectual Property, drafting UCC, the coordination and closing of financial information.
DAY-TO-DAY:
- Prepare standard form loan documentation and other related commercial documents for financial transactions
- Organization and editing of documentation
- UCC preparation, viewing, and filing of financial statements, releases, & amendments.
- UCC & lien searches.
- Perform many tasks including those associated with private credit transactional closings.
- Drafting of indexes for closing of books, document assembly in partnership with supervisory attorney
- Closing & Post Closing
- 3rd Party Relationship Vendor Management
- Maintain timely reports to ensure Billing deadlines are met
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree and one or more years related experience preferably in a law firm environment.
- Previous work experience involving detailed understanding of Article 9 of the Uniform Commercial Code
- Paralegal certificate from an ABA accredited paralegal program.
- Experience with financial commercial databases such as Westlaw, proficient in Excel, Outlook, and MS Word.
- Organizational skills including accurate record keeping, data integrity, and available information in the system. Demonstrates the ability to assemble and maintain critical information in a reliable format.
- Ability to communicate with Legal teams confidently and thoroughly in an accurate and concise way. Highly courteous, diplomatic, efficient written and verbal communicator accurately provides detailed information to diverse groups and important outside contacts and legal staff.
- Highly analytical when it comes to data processing for transactional information.
- Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, detail-oriented work environment, and adapt to changes in workflow, and ensure work is completed within defined deadlines. Proactive with excellent troubleshooting, problem resolution, and follow-through skills.
- Possess excellent knowledge of reading, writing, grammar, spelling, punctuation, proofreading, and formatting to interpret source data, prepare commercial finance transactional documents and forms, proofread material for grammatical, typographical, and spelling errors, and perform file maintenance.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations and concepts, reconciling balances, and verifying numerical data on forms and documents.

SALARY: $60,000-$73,000/Year
