SUMMARY: The packer is responsible for packing rolls after slitting on the Slitter and place cores in rolls to prepare for shipping Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Pack rolls and place cores in rolls
• Place cored rolls on pallets per job jacket instructions
• Complete documentation in an accurate manner
• Maintain housekeeping standards of production equipment and surrounding area
• Perform core cutting as required
• Cross-train on rewind
• Transfer material using hand truck
• Follow AIB guidelines
• Perform other duties as assigned BACKGROUND / EXPERIENCE:
• Manufacturing experience helpful EDUCATION / KNOWLEDGE:
• High School Diploma or equivalent SPECIFIC SKILLS:
• Must be able to stand 6-9 hours
• Must be able to bend, twist, squat, reach vertically 3
– hours
• Must be able to walk/stand on concrete surface 6-9 hours
• Must be able to lift up to 80 pounds, using a hoist frequently
