The Order Selector is responsible for accurately selecting and packing merchandise ordered from store locations in a timely manner to ensure that orders are shipped as scheduled and available for our customers.Essential duties include, but are not limited to:* Pull grocery, produce, deli and meat merchandise as indicated on store orders* Maintain an accurate account of fulfilled items, noting quantities/weight of items pulled an any item on back order* Build pallets or ordered merchandise to be shipped to corresponding store as indicated on orders* Wrap and place pallets in appropriate locations by utilizing pallet jacks and power lifts* Ensure proper rotation of merchandise in accordance with company policy and product code dates* Comply with safety policies and procedures, location rules and company policiesKnowledge, skills and abilities:* Ability to operate a pallet jack and power lift* Calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, gross margins, percentages and markup* Ability to interface with management and company personnel on a regular basis* Ability to collaborate with others through teamwork and share idea to work towards a common goal* Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variablesPhysical requirements:* Walking continuously* Standing continuously* Bending continuously* Squatting, kneeling, climbing and twisting frequently* Simple grasping, power grasping, pushing and pulling and fine manipulation continuously* Lifting and carrying up to 75 lbs. frequently* Operating a pallet jack and forklift* Exposure to extremes in temperature due to coolers* Working at heights
