Description
- Ensure compliance of legal and company guidelines and procedures
- Collaborate with multiple pre-litigation departments and teams to identify potential cases for litigation and facilitate the progress of cases
- Review, analyze and evaluate cases with approaching statutes of limitation
- Manage and maintain case management database—including updates and report generation
- Prepare informative reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing case information
- Document case highlights and concerns, define litigation case objectives, and formulate case plan in accordance with company strategies.
- Assign new cases to the Litigation Teams on an as needed basis
- Conduct investigations and documentary research
- Navigate California Superior Court websites to obtain case/docket information
- Research into party identity, location and assets
- Calendar and manage important deadlines, including but not limited to, statutes of limitation, court hearings, and due dates
- Draft and file legal documents with the court, including, but not limited to summons, complaints and proofs of service
- Serve as a liaison between pre-litigation departments and litigation department
- At least 3 years of civil litigation experience, personal injury experience preferred
- ABA-approved Paralegal Certification required
