My Next Career Path Staffing – With over 20 yearsrsquo experience in Technology Staffing, MNCP Staffing match candidates to the culture of an organization as well as required skill sets. The Operations Engineer (OE) operates, maintains, and supports the firmrsquos virtualization, storage, and backup infrastructure and related technologies. In doing so, the OE works independently, manages time their effectively, and learns new technologies. The OE also collaborates with other Information Technology team members to ensure continuous operations. The OE reports directly to the Director of Network Engineering Infrastructure. Responsibilities Works closely with application owners and other IT stakeholders to Meet uptime and data protection SLAs Deliver continuous virtualization, storage, and backup services Maintain virtualization, storage, and backup infrastructure, including but not limited to patching and updating hardware and software Ensure successful implementations of requested services Provide training of services to promote adoption Automate operations and integrate with firmsrsquo change management and operational systems. Standardize and document virtualization, storage, and backup infrastructure procedures. Evaluate and recommend improvements to the firmrsquos virtualization, storage, and backup infrastructure. Review systems on a daily basis. Document and resolve issues to ensure continuous operations. Provide mentorship and knowledge transfer to other members of the team Maintain professional decorum when representing the IT department to attorneys and staff. Complete additional tasks as assigned Provide 24×7 support as needed Qualifications Required Qualifications At least 5 years of experience working with storage andor virtualization systems for a medium to large organization. Expert knowledge of storage andor virtualization concepts, protocols, and associated technologies, such as replication, snapshots, datastores, caching, NFS, iSCSI, etc. 3+ years hands-on experience with PowerShell or python. Comprehensive experience troubleshooting complex systems. Self-starter who is able to work with minimal supervision, and within a team format. Strong written and verbal communications skills Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of Pure Storage, Cohesity, and Riverbed SteelFusion platforms. Experience with automation integration with ServiceNow Education Strongly Preferred Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology with coursework in modern programming languages.
