They keep our Guests comfortable by performing troubleshooting and repair of systems and equipment (boilers, chillers, compressors), installations, maintenance, and quality checks of completed work.(Local, Southern California applicants sought – NO RELOCATION OFFERED.)Basic Qualifications :Technical Abilities• Journeyman Operating Engineer or maintenance machinist experience• Unlimited CFC license• Background as a Utilities Man Class A or C, Boiler Technician Class A or C• Ability to use special tools and equipment• Familiarity with pumps, compressors, boilers, chiller units, cooling towers, and associated equipment• Familiarity with alignment of pumps and shafts• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematic• Familiarity with, or have the ability to learn, the Computerized Maintenance Management System (“Maximo”)Additional Information :The pay rate for this role in California is $31.58 to $40.34 per hour. The base pay actually offered follows the minimum wage from the pay scale agreed upon in the applicable Collective Bargaining Agreement and may also vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, among other factors.Those assigned to the Operating Engineer position are required to attend an annual Hearing Conservation training class, Respiratory Protection training class, and Lead Awareness class. They are also required to submit to an annual medical evaluation, fit test, audiometric exam and a semi-annual Lead/Zinc blood test.SCHEDULE AVAILABILTYOur Theme Parks and Resort Hotels operate 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Availability to work Sunday through Saturday, any shift (1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift) including holidays, and must be open to any days off.
