PASSENGER SERVICES AGENT (PAX)

SUMMARY

Coordinates and follows up on activities by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.

Other duties may be assigned.

– Servicing customers by performing meet and greets,

– Performs check -in for passengers and baggage and provide ticketing service

– Boarding and deplaning the aircraft

– Making public announcements

– Providing baggage service and assisting passengers with mis-handled baggage

– Providing flight, tickets and other travel information and directions to passengers

– Sets up in preparation for aircraft arrival.

– Practices safety conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures.

– Other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

High School diploma or GED; OR up to three months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read a limited number of two
– and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers.

Ability to print and speak simple sentences.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s.

Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one
– or two-step instructions.

Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.

COMPUTER SKILLS

None.

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES and REGISTRATIONS

– Valid State Driver’s License

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES

None.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

– Security Clearance, (for airport security purposes) pass a 10-year background screening.
