Business management firm located in Los Angeles is seeking an Account Manager / Bookkeeper to join their team.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Set up bank accounts for new clients
- Prepare start paperwork related to client’s new jobs
- Maintain income schedules
- Enter/review payables & deposits & ensure timely payments
- Participate in client meetings
- Direct point of contact for clients & vendors
- Prepare & track new hire employment documents (e.g. W-4, I-9)
- Process payroll
- Monitor bank balances & make appropriate transfers weekly (minimum)
- Prepare/review cashflows
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred
- Familiarity with Zenith and Datafaction
- At least 2 years of bookkeeping experience
- Familiar with preparing & filing tax packages (1099s & W-2s) and city business taxes/licenses
- Experience with quarterly financial clean-up & review, quarterly guild dues reconciliations & filings
- Experience booking retirement accounts
- Experience managing health insurance and casualty insurance
- Experience preparing/reviewing credit applications (i.e. Auto) & rental lease applications
