This is the experienced clerical position that provides a variety of support activities.

Work is less closely supervised, or permits more latitude and judgment than the Office Assistant I.

There is greater emphasis on rapid accurate data entry.

At a school site this is the position that assists with enrollment and maintains attendance records, assists with lunch supervision.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and abilities required to satisfactorily perform the essential duties and responsibilities.

Any combination of education and experience that demonstrates possession of the requisite knowledge, skills and abilities.

A typical way to obtain these would be: High School diploma Two years prior clerical experience.

Knowledge of: Student records and attendance keeping.

Academic and facilities scheduling.

Complex record keeping and report preparation.

Modern office equipment including personal computers and related software.

Procedures specific to the school site or district office.

Ability to: Maintain confidentiality.

Perform rapid, accurate, complex, data entry.

Maintain complex academic and/or facility schedules.

Communicate effectively verbally and in writing.

Operate a personal computer and related software.

Maintain effective working relationships with other people.

Type approximately 40 wpm.

Compensation: This is a full-time 9-month position, working 37.5 hours per week, with a starting salary of $21.37 per hour.
