Office Assistant

Job DescriptionProvides customer service to members and guests in person and on the telephone by offering assistance, information, directions, etc.Answers incoming calls, transfers calls and takes messages as neededProvides assistance to other departments by performing various duties including updating spreadsheets or databases; filing; copying; and any additional duties as assigned by the General ManagerRequirementsProvide administrative services by answering phones, directing calls and assisting with all aspects of office duties.Note: Co-workers in this job classification will generally be scheduled to work, on average, at least35 hours per weekHigh school diploma required (2-Year college degree preferred) or equivalent combination of education and experienceAbility to operate the following equipment: computer, copier, fax and postage machineTo perform this job successfully, an individual should type 45 words per minuteValid driver’s license is required
