Ocean Commercial Center – US Export Allocation Analyst

Job Title: OCC – US Export Allocation Analyst Job Location: Newark, New Jersey We have an exciting opportunity for a seasoned Allocation Analyst.

In this role you will work with the Allocation Manager and the corporate Ocean Freight team on optimizing available carrier allocation (both ocean and inland providers) in order to simplify the export booking process as well as maximizing revenue yield.

The ideal candidate is a tech savvy individual who is eager to take advantage of leveraging and further developing existing allocation tools.

This position will be tasked with monitoring all agreed carrier contracts for enforceable and non-enforceable allocations with or without dead freight to ensure origins optimize the utilization at all times.

Key Responsibilities:
• Manage available space capacity in order to drive utilization and performance for both ocean and inland providers
• Support local stations/branches with regards to available allocations
• Ensure visibility of carrier allocation usage by creation of regular reporting for US Ocean Freight community
• Review, analyst and report on Allocation Management between Shipping Lines, Origin, Destination and Trade Management Team
• Ensure correct utilization of selected carriers for US export trades
• Assess and prioritize customers’ allocations and routing
• Set up and follow escalation processes for enforcing compliance and driving improvements
• Drive usage and development of Allocation Management Tool (AMT) Skills / Requirements:
• Experience in Freight Forwarding Industry, esp.

in Ocean
• Good carrier relationship and engagement
• Result oriented
• Strong entrepreneurial spirit and ability to work without daily supervision
• Comfortable with database management
• Superior Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, v-lookups, macros etc.)
• Extremely detail oriented
• High degree of organizational, administrative, analytical and communication skills
• Comfortable in speaking/presenting in front of internal and external customers
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and projects, working well under pressure
