Our employees are not only part of history, they’re making history.Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a talented Receiving Inspector to join our team in Woodland Hills, CA.The selected candidate will work in the Receiving Inspection area verifying receipt of supplier material with experience in mechanical inspection of parts, assemblies, and / or subassemblies. The candidate must have experience using and programing the CMM and using other various mechanical inspection tools related to all types of mechanical inspections. The inspections will be performed to requirements specified in accordance with the assembly drawings and additional receiving inspection documents defining material acceptability. The Inspector must have the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and Purchase Orders. Experience performing inspection with an understanding of applicable industry standards such as J-STD-001 and IPC-A-610 or equivalent is highly desired. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years’ experience performing inspections in aerospace or military/defense Receiving Inspection with proficiency using Microsoft Word and Excel.The selected candidate must be able to understand and interpret process procedures, drawings, and other documentation that pertains to receiving material from Northrop Grumman suppliers and accomplish tasks through direct supervision of non-exempt employeesBasic Qualifications:6+ years of relevant experience and a thorough knowledge of military/space testing, manufacturing, engineering development and test equipment inspection environmentsMust be able to obtain a Secret Clearance which requires US citizenship.Prior experience working in a fast paced, high repetitive motion environment.Must have excellent written/verbal communication skills.Prior experience working with J-STD-001, IPC-A-610 and ES13038, GOLD and SAP applicationsPreferred Qualifications:J-STD 001/IPC610/IPC620 Experience.Experience with Microsoft Office.Must be able to sit/stand for long hours.Prior experience working with performance & test data inspection documentsPrior experience relevant test and manufacturing inspection processes in the Aerospace IndustryMAQEASalary Range: 63600 106000Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
