Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is looking for you to join our team as an Sr Principal or Staff EMI/EMC Design Engineer based out of Woodland Hills, CA.

What You’ll get to Do: This position is for an electrical engineer experienced in hardware design and design analysis for EMI/EMC compliance.

The selected candidate will perform system level decomposition of EMI/EMC requirements, will develop EMI/EMC design requirements at sub-system level, will perform design analysis to verify compliance, and support hardware design engineering to ensure compliance with EMI/EMC requirements.

Basic Qualifications:9+ years of experience with a Bachelors of Science in Electrical EngineeringHardware design experience for EMI/EMC complianceExpertise in MIL-STD 461 and MIL-STD 464 and DO-160Technical ability to support decomposition of System level EMI/EMC requirements to sub-assembly level.Technical ability to perform risk assessment with respect to compliance with EMI/EMC requirements.Technical ability to perform EMI/EMC design and analysis at both system and hardware levelsTechnical ability to develop, document, and maintain EMI/EMC requirements at sub-system levelDesign experience with EMI Filters and Lighting protectionExperience with Cable designExperience with modeling and simulation using SPICEActive DoD Secret Clearance Preferred QualificationsM.S.
