This position will be located with our team in Northridge, CA.

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is currently seeking the following qualifications for a Contracts Administrator.This position can be filled at a level 2 (Contracts Administrator) or level 3 (Principal Contracts Administrator).

Basic qualifications for each level are listed below.Responsibilities:Administers, extends, negotiates and terminates standard and nonstandard contracts.Conducts proposal preparation, contract negotiation, contract administration, and customer contact activities to provide for proper contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications.Examines estimates of material, equipment services, production costs, performance requirements, and delivery schedules to ensure accuracy and completeness.Prepares bids; processes specifications, progress, and other reports; advises management of contractual rights and obligations; compiles and analyzes data; and maintains historical information.Basic Qualifications for a level 2 (Contracts Administrator) are:Bachelor’s degree with 3 years of contract admin, proposals, and/or business management experience, or a Master’s degree with 1 year of stated experience.Demonstrated experience with highly effective verbal and written communications and presentation communication.Basic Qualifications for a level 3 (Principal Contracts Administrator) are:Bachelor’s degree with 6 years of contract admin, proposals, and/or business management experience, or a Master’s degree with 4 year of stated experience.Demonstrated experience with highly effective verbal and written communications and presentation communication.Preferred Qualifications:Experience with contract negotiationsProficient in Microsoft Office (Excel)Experience with proposals, pricing, project managementMRP systemsWorking knowledge of FAR/DFARS, and other U.S.

Federal Government contracting regulationsExperience with various contract types, including Cost Reimbursable, Firm Fixed Price, and Fixed Price IncentiveExperience as a Contracts Administrator in the defense industryRelocation assistance, while not guaranteed, may be available for this position.This position’s work schedule is 4/10s with some flexibility with remote work and every Friday off.

Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.

Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
