We seek a compassionate physician for our growing healthcare organization who serves to make an impact on the lives of our patients. We provide critical care to underserved populations by using innovative tools and working closely with community partners to improve patient health: building a pathway for positive change in our communities.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Schedule will be Mon-Friday 8:30 Am 5:00 PM
- Examines patient to determine general physical condition.
- Order and accurately interpret necessary laboratory tests, pathology results, radiologist reports in the development and execution of a treatment plan for patients.
- Provide preventative health care services in accordance with HEDIS and other national evidence-based standards.
- Prescribes treatments and medication.
- Documents gathered information in medical record as required by policies and analyses reports and findings of tests and examinations.
- Thorough and accurate medical documentation of all visits using EMR?
- Elicits and records information about patients medical history.
- Immunize patients from communicable diseases.
- Advises patients concerning diet, hygiene, and methods for prevention of disease.
- Refers patients to medical specialist or other practitioner for specialized treatment.
- Ability to develop positive rapport with patients and families to foster the physician/patient relationship.
- Active participation for On-call schedule.
- Able to finalize patient charting in a timely yet complete fashion to support billing levels
- Responsible in providing a pleasant and professional customer service experience to all external and internal customers
- Attend to health plans, provider, and interdepartmental calls in accordance with exceptional customer service; always maintain professional and appropriate behavior (actions/verbal)
- Performs other duties, projects, and actions as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience and training as a physician
- Physician with an active unrestrictive CA license to practice medicine by the Medical Board of California.
- Background in geriatric or internal medicine
- Current Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Certificate
- Current CPR certification
- Medical malpractice insurance policy in force
- Leadership and/or management skills preferred.
- Education and training necessary to obtain a medical degree. Requires valid license to practice medicine in the State of California. Board Certified or Board Eligible in specialty preferred.
