Job SummaryThe New York Film Academy Los Angeles Campusis seeking photo equipment teaching assistants for several part-time positions.
The Photo TAs will assist and be hands on with the supervision and safety of equipment for shoots, events, and day to day duties.ResponsibilitiesEnsure safety of students and employees.Oversee students and ensure their proper technical and safe use of equipment.Offer technical assistance to students.Assist instructors in class with equipment and any questions.Photograph events and edit images for delivery.Safely pack and deliver equipment to and from locations.Assist within the equipment room and during checkouts.General support for the school and facilities.Occasional overtime.
KNOWLEDGE AND COMPETENCIES:Strong interpersonal and communication skills.Comfort working with individuals from various cultures and backgrounds.Knowledge of photography and photography equipment.A positive attitude towards assisting others and the ability to share expertise and information.Ability to work well in a team atmosphere.Ability to stay current in the field of photography and obtain new skills using new technologies.EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION:Bachelor’s degree preferred.4+ years of photography-related experience.The New York Film Academy was founded in 1992 on the belief that a top-quality education in filmmaking should be accessible to anyone with the drive and ambition to make films.
