A Little More About What You Will be Doing Under general supervision of the Clinical Operations Management, lead clinical staff, and Physicians, the technologist is to perform Neuro diagnostic studies in the outpatient setting. The technologist will be working independently using a variety of sophisticated instrumentation and applies valid clinical judgment in the performance of clinical neurophysiology procedures. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to Performs routine assigned neuro diagnostics as requested: Somoatosensory Evoked Potential (SSEPs), Brainstem Auditory Evoked Potential (BAER), Visual Evoked Potential (VEP), Nerve Conduction Study (NCS), and WADAs Assists with department projects such as research, database maintenance, and quality assurance. The technologist may be asked to head projects, taking a lead role in the maintenance and completion of neurophysiology task that aid the lab and/or the scientific community Provides support in the day-to-day operations and technical applications for assigned outpatient areas pertaining to neuro diagnostics. Assists with the coordination/triage of patient flow across all Neurophysiology areas in the absence of the Clinical Operations management team. Technologist may help resolve complaints and/or difficult situations Prepares rooms before and after studies and/or procedures. Explains details of procedure to patients, in accordance with standards of practice as defined by Cedars-Sinai and applicable certifying or regulatory standards Orients new and junior staff to the department or to new policies and/or procedures Assists with other departmental projects/objectives as requested Provides training in provision of additional Neurological assessment and therapeutic services (Regarding eye oculomotor function, cognitive screening, cognitive rehabilitation, smartfit vision board, qEEG, CAVA, MeRT, and other technologies) Understanding of basic electronics as related to Neurodiagnostic equipment for assigned modality.
