National Tax Department – International Tax Services – Senior – Private Companies and Clients

Handling tax for a large, sophisticated organization takes more than just a technical understanding of current tax practices. As an International Tax Services Senior in the National Tax Department, with a focus on private companies, family office, and high net worth individuals, clients will look to your knowledge across a wide range of tax areas and processes, devising elegant outcomes to some of the most complex challenges around. Your key responsibilities

Depending on your unique skills and ambitions, you could be managing various responsibilities, from technical planning, reporting, and advising to global project management. Whatever you find yourself doing, you’ll be a key member of a highly trained team, handling activities with a focus on quality and commercial value. This is a highly regulated industry, so it’s all about maintaining our reputation as trusted advisors by taking on bold initiatives and owning new challenges.

Skills and attributes for success

  • Identifying and answering complex domestic and international tax issues
  • Providing technical tax advice and planning services to a portfolio of clients
  • Constantly developing your own knowledge, maintaining your status as a trusted advisor by monitoring emerging trends, technologies and practices
  • Supporting regional teams in delivering US international tax reporting advice as well as offering substantive review of international tax reporting matters, including Forms 5471, 8865, 8858, and 1116
  • Building long-lasting relationships with our clients, developing your understanding of their unique needs and requirements
  • Working within a dedicated client service team, soliciting performance feedback and guaranteeing you always have the skills, tools and opportunities needed to grow

To qualify for the role you must have

  • A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
  • A US CPA license, or state bar membership
  • Substantial experience with Microsoft Excel
  • The ability to communicate complex tax concepts to clients
  • Confidence in your ability to prioritize when working on multiple complex projects

What we offer

We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The salary range for this job in most geographic locations in the US is $86,500

to $ 142,700 .The salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $103,800 to $162,100.Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options. Under our flexible vacation policy, you’ll decide how much vacation time you need based on your own personal circumstances. You’ll also be granted time off for designated EY Paid Holidays, Winter/Summer breaks, Personal/Family Care, and other leaves of absence when needed to support your physical, financial, and emotional well-being.
