MIG Welder IIs in Norwood Young America, MN | $23.00-$28.00/Hour DOE Our MIG Welder IIs workweek is Monday to Friday with hours starting at 07:30 am until 05:00 pm This job is a Skilled Industrial type position that that pays $23.00-$28.00/Hour and is a Temp-to-hire opportunity.
MIG Welder II Duties and Responsibilities -Works from intermediate level sketches, prints, operation sheets, preliminary drawings, and written/verbal instructions -Completes intermediate level welds by cleaning, preparing, cutting, burning, and welding pieces; selecting methods; and setting up and measuring assemblies -Positions pieces to be welded into jigs, holding fixtures, and guides using measuring instruments and hand tools.
-Uses hand welding and flame cutting equipment, such as arc welders, gas welders and gas torches to weld together metal components (flat, horizontal, or vertical plates and pipes) -Sets up and operates all welding/cutting equipment -Verifies welding results by inspecting welds insuring conformance to specifications
– Ability to work as a team player, including working with Machine Operators, Technicians, Material Handlers, Engineers, and other members of management to resolve issues and meet customer requirements, is required.
– Other duties as assigned MIG Welder II Requirements and Qualifications
– Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily -3 5 years MIG Welding experience; proficient in multiple competencies relevant to the position, complete projects with minimal supervision
– High School diploma or GED required -Intermediate skills reading drawings and blueprints
– Effectively communicate and understand job instructions in the English language
– Ability to lift 50 lbs.
