– San Antonio, TX Job Description Qualifications: The Boeing Communications team is seeking multiple Mid-Level Site Communications Specialists to join the team in the US Gulf Coast and Mountain regions.

These positions will report to the Boeing Defense and Services team and can be based out of any of the locations listed here, San Antonio, TX; El Segundo, CA; Huntington Beach, CA; Irving, TX; Jacksonville, FL; Long Beach, CA; Mesa, AZ; Miami, FL; Oklahoma City, OK; Plano, TX; Berkeley, MO; Hazelwood, MO; Chicago, IL; Ridley Park, PA or Arlington, VA.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development, execution, and periodic review of site communications plans for the Boeing locations in a chosen geographic area
  • Work in partnership with the businesses and other functions to develop and execute these plans and ensure Communications resources and people are leveraged to best advance the plans and business objectives
  • Provide counsel to the site leadership teams on communications issues, risks, and opportunities
  • Draft and distribute communications materials including email messages and newsletters
  • Collaborate with security teams to provide communications support around severe weather events and other safety and security incidents
  • Partner with business leaders and other functions around site and local engagement initiatives including diversity and inclusion, volunteering and other community events
  • Support the communications aspects around high profile visits by company and customer leaders

This position allows telecommuting.

The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options.

The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R.

§ 120.15 is required.

“US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher
  • 2+ years of experience with communications planning and implementation
  • Experience in internal, executive, or external communications support
  • Experience in communication planning inclusive of leader messages, internal stories, web and social media content

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Additional certifications or degrees in the public relations/communications field

Typical Education/Experience: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g.

Bachelor) and typically 6 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g.

Master+4 years’ related work experience, 10 years’ related work experience, etc.).

Relocation: Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position.
