BRIEF DESCRIPTION The Laser/TIG Welder performs daily production welding of various connectors, flange, cover and housing welds using TIG, Laser and manual spot Weld equipment. Ability to set-up, process and inspects subminiature parts. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
? Supports daily shipping agenda processing parts for welding, marking and testing
? Interprets drawings, job travelers and work instructions for set up, 1st part samples and production lot processing
? Uses Laser Marking equipment for identification serialization
? Initiates edits or updates to G code for pulse and power requirements
? Performs Helium leak testing, fine and gross leak also, documents results for record archive
? Troubleshoots weld penetration and touch-up or remedy pinholes or interruptions as required
? Uses shot peen, bead blast and fine abrasive media for rework, touch-up or blending
? Performs basic preventive maintenance check to the equipment
? Performs basic repairs to the equipment
? Coordinates monthly weld specimens for section analysis
? Supports other production department areas when necessary
Job Requirements:
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
? Technical training in welding and experience of more than 2 years or equivalent
? Basic understanding of the American Welding Society requirements, in various areas of the welding field.
? Ability to read and interpret travelers and prints
? Trained in TIG Welding Machine operation
? Trained in both Laser Welding machines on rotary and circular welding
? Trained in the use of Bead Blaster and polishing and buffing equipment
? Ability to learn and adapt new welding techniques ? Ability to follow written and verbal directions
? Microscope experience
? Train for and accomplish Certified Operator status with Inspection Delegation Authority
? Knowledge of D3Pick system a plus
? Must be a local candidate ITAR REQUIREMENTS
