Merchant

We are looking for someone to assist with our rapid speed to complement our product team.  Ideally a Merchant who will bring support, clarity , organization and above all else, personality to our team. It is necessary you have the energy and desire to aid in the development of all activities that are necessary to produce manufacture ready products. You will help drive ready products that are in line with aesthetic and goals, strategies, cost, quality. You will need to be agile and ready to pivot as the business needs can evolve quickly. 

About The Job

  • Become the liaison between PD  – production – product – warehouse for changes.
  • Develop and manage Product Line Plan, Financial Plan and Merchant Calendar to support topline growth across DTC, Wholesale and Branded Partnerships
  • Push to drive seasonal strategies that meet fiscal targets and aligns to the corporate strategy
  • Own the analysis of the businesses and effectively communicate the learning’s to cross-functional partners.
  • Recognize risks and of the moment opportunities based on analysis and make recommendations for reacting to current business
  • Create departmental seasonal line plans to guide design, product development and production and support divisional objectives
  • Create energy and problem solve challenges across divisions 
  • Create and maintain accurate assortment sheets and buy plans. Communicate changes to appropriate business partners on an on-going and timely basis.
  •  Participate and present weekly business analysis to leadership showing action-oriented results and pivots based on business need.
  • Monitor sales performance and react accordingly
  • Effectively manage and develop direct reports
  • Become the liaison between PD  – production – product – warehouse for changes.
  • Analyze business and category trends on an ongoing basis to ensure decisions are customer-focused and data-driven

About You

·       Bachelor’s degree desirable 

·       Minimum 3 years of work experience in a position involving tracking and organizing a large amount of data (a Bachelor’s degree and 1+ year of work experience may be substituted) within a textile/apparel industry 

·       Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills with the ability to analyze a large amount of information 

·       Experience with web-based PLM systems strongly preferred 

·       Experience with the Adobe Suite.

·       Intermediate to advanced level in Excel (can perform complex functions) 

·       Effective relational and organizational skills ; ability to work with multiple departments
